NCCT Hosts Civil Service Commission Makati Field Office’s 1st Quarter Cluster Meeting

The National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) proudly hosted the 1st Quarter Cluster Meeting of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Makati Field Office, held on 04 April 2025, at B Hotel, Quezon City. The event brought together key officials and representatives from various government agencies and local government units under the CSC Makati Field Office to discuss updates on civil service policies, share best practices, and strengthen inter-agency collaboration.

The meeting was formally opened by NCCT Executive Director Desideria Mance Atienza, who warmly welcomed the participants and highlighted the NCCT’s mission of promoting child-friendly television and advocating for responsible media content that upholds the rights, growth, and development of Filipino children. She also emphasized NCCT’s commitment to creating a safe, educational media environment through partnerships across sectors to deliver high-quality, meaningful programming for young audiences.

A key highlight of the program was the insightful presentation of CSC Makati Field Office Director Margarita G. Reyes, who provided timely updates and important clarifications on the Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA). Dir. Reyes underscored the need for compliance with merit-based hiring, proper documentation, and adherence to CSC policies. She also addressed recurring challenges in appointment submissions and reinforced the critical role of Human Resource Management Officers (HRMOs) in maintaining lawful, ethical, and timely HR actions across government offices. Her talk reinforced the accountability and professionalism required of HRMOs in upholding the integrity of public service.

The cluster meeting served as a meaningful platform for dialogue and learning, fostering a stronger commitment to a more responsive civil service. NCCT extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating agencies for their active engagement, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication to public service excellence.
